business. Like them we provide a personal, focused,
speedy and professional service to organisations
throughout the UK and internationally.
The Curzon Interim team combines a mix of newcomers
to the world of Interim provision as well as
seasoned executive search professionals.

David Timson
- Chairman
David is the Senior
Partner of The Curzon Partnership and
Non-Executive Chairman of Curzon Interim
Management Limited. In a 21 year career in
Executive Recruitment, David became Managing
Director of the then largest retained
recruitment business in the UK before going
on to set up Curzon in 1996. In his search
career he has specialised in the Finance
Function and in the Infrastructure Sector
and now focuses on NED positions. His
earlier career includes working as an
economist with the Bank of England followed
by Senior Treasury, Project and Corporate
Finance roles with British Gas, GKN and GPT.
David has a degree in Economics from London
University and is a Fellow and former
Council member of the Association of
Corporate Treasurers. |

Alana
Burrows - Team Administrator
After gaining a degree in Social Science,
Alana’s career has included management roles
in retail and marketing in the automotive
sector. She joined The Curzon Partnership in
2001, most recently holding the position of
Knowledge Manager. Alana now supplies
administrative support services to Curzon
Interim. |

Michael
Kaltz - Advisor
A highly experienced business leader in
professional services, Michael began his
career at Coopers & Lybrand in the UK and
then moved with the firm to the US. On
returning to the UK, he had a spell in
industry before joining Ernst & Young in
London, going on to become a Partner in
1989.
In his 15 years of partnership, Michael
managed the relationships with major
multinational clients from many sectors,
working closely with their management on a
wide range of Human Resource issues. In
addition, he held a variety of internal
management roles.
Michael is very familiar with the world of
interim from all perspectives as he has used
interim managers as a client on a number of
occasions and he was himself an independent
consultant and interim manager at leading
organisations including Linpac Allibert and
Rolls-Royce from 2005 to 2009.
Michael is the Chairman of the charity Shaftesbury Young People and a Lay Member of
the Employment Tribunal. He is a Fellow of
the Institute of Chartered Accountants and a
Chartered Tax Advisor and holds a BSc in
Mathematics, Statistics and Economics. |

Carol Palmer
– Non-Executive Director
Carol began her career in search with
Russell Reynolds. She then moved to Norman
Broadbent International where she helped to
establish and became a Director of NBS,
before co-founding the Curzon Partnership in
1996. Carol specialises in Board and Non
Executive appointments for B2B and consumer
service companies, in particular in the
automotive and not-for-profit sectors. |

Sam Bell –
Partner
Sam Bell qualified as an Accountant and
became a Partner in Corporate Finance and
Assurance with Price Waterhouse.
Since leaving the Profession in the early
'90s, he worked as an entrepreneur (where he
was involved in a number of workouts and
restructurings) and held Board level
positions in public and private companies
operating across retail, healthcare and fund
management. He has also invested in various
SMEs where he has held Executive and
Non-executive Director positions.
Sam handles senior level assignments on
behalf of corporate finance houses,
restructuring boutiques, professional
services firms and other financial
institutions. |

Becky
Penney– Researcher
Becky Penney is a qualified Chartered
Accountant who spent the early part of her
career at KPMG, before joining a global
recruitment firm where she recruited for
top-tier Professional Services firms across
all levels.
She joined Curzon in early 2008 to lead the
research aspects of searches within the
Corporate Finance and Professional Services
markets. |
